On Luz's second day on the Boiling Isles, Eda seems somewhat unenthusiastic about teaching her and tasks her with menial labour such as selling potions in the nearby town Bonesborough. Darius is surprised that Raine is the traitor, and declares that they'll pay for ruining his cloak, and also their betrayal as Eberwolf reminds him. In the Owl House, Eda is inside her room going over a list of things that she needs to do, including things for Luz, King, and possibly Hooty.

This surprises Eda, and her closing her window gets the attention of King and Luz. King then tells Luz he isn't ready to tell Eda because he isn't sure how she'll react, not knowing that she is feeling disappointed, believing that Luz and King want to move on with their lives and leave her behind. Just as she is about to put the picture into her chest box, Eda discovers her old bell cittern, and decides to distract herself by playing it. As she is playing the cittern, things around her start to float, and Eda thinks her magic has returned. Unfortunately, due to her magic still being cursed, every item begins to shrivel up and corrode, much to Eda's disappointment. The two begin to play music, enchanting the whole area before Eda begins to play, diminishing magic throughout the area and canceling spells created by the coven heads chasing them.
Upon realizing this, an enraged Eda unleashes all of her magic, only to be captured when Lilith uses Luz's well-being to force Eda to use up her magic and succumb to her curse. However, Lilith is truly remorseful for what she did to her sister and wants to make amends, going against Emperor Belos when she realizes he had deceived her. Upon seeing her thrown in the same cage while facing petrification, a furious Eda attempts to kill her sister, only to be stopped by King.
However, Morton suggests that she visits the night market and find a stand owned by someone called Grimm Hammer. Eda, with King in tow, departs to the night market later that night, but before leaving, she leaves Luz in charge of the Owl House and forbids her from having a Moonlight Conjuring during her absence. Should Luz break the rules, Eda threatens to never trust her apprentice again.

It is located in the Demon Realm located on the cliffs outside Bonesborough and is inhabited by Luz, Eda, King, and Raine. "Eda's Requiem" is the seventh episode of the second season of The Owl House, and the twenty-sixth episode overall. The Owl House’s second season keep delivery episode after episode, and “Eda’s Requiem” was no exception.
Eda arrives just in time to witness Luz and King cross the finish line, but even though Luz does pass and beat Ukla of Glandus, it is quickly revealed they came in fifth place, much to Eda's surprise. Luz explains that during the race, they were on the verge of winning, as they passed all the other witches and made it to first place. Unfortunately, just as they were close to winning, King's motion sickness got the better of him, and he threw up again, causing them to crash. Due to their race ranking, Luz and King won't be getting the on-camera interview. King is disappointed and wants to throw his pre-written message into the garbage, but Eda convinces him otherwise. She gets King to stream his message to his father on Penstagram, letting everyone on the Isles hear his message, including a mysterious character who somewhat resembles King.
